Finland is famous about sauna and whenever you meet a Finn, I can guarantee it is one of the first things they will tell you about their country. After 4 years living in Finland, I actually had the chance to experience it and let me tell you why you shouldn't miss it!
I went to a decent sauna place with my friends in Helsinki 2 years ago...First they had us change into our bathing suits and robes, then we went upstairs by the fire to have a relaxing drink, before making our way to the saunas. After a good 25 minutes in the sauna, it was time to go to the lake, where a hole had been made in the ice and this was a place where people either dove in or walked in going down the ladder. I could barely get my feet in without that burning cold sensation! Rinse and repeat. Then it was back to the sauna for another round of sweat and then freeze!
After several rounds of this, we started to make our way up to the warm and cozy room upstairs. We ate, we drank and we roasted sausages on the fire.We chatted, we laughed and overall we had a great experience.
I could see how, since the weather is so cold in Finland, that this is so much a part of the culture.

Commercials that make me cry :(
Hello guys!
Hope you all are doing fine. I disappeared for a while because of the crazy mid-term tests that are sucking away my energy, but thank God I have a lot of energy so... here I am again!
Lately I watched some commercials from Thailand and China that were super heart-touching that I couldn't wait to share with you guys...Let us begin!
The first one is a very sad video about a girl who has a mute father. She was bullied at school and decided to commit suicide on her birthday...What her mute father did for her really touched my heart: "There are no perfect fathers. A father will always love perfectly".
The second video was made by a company from Thailand to convey a powerful and meaningful message: "Giving is the best communication". Sometimes life is too hectic and we totally forget "small things can make a big difference".
One of my favorite commercials from TC Bank - China. I watched it not less than 5 times and the message of this commercial was able to make me awake at night...
- "What do people live for?"
- "Dream"
Hope you guys enjoy these videos. I will share with you more interesting stuffs on my next blog post.
Keep in touch and have a great Thanksgiving holiday!

More interesting stuffs coming!
Hello, again!
After sharing my coop experience with you guys, I also have a chance to read my classmates' fun blogs, and I think they are worth your time reading!
Let's start with Ayu's blog. This girl has a huge passion for food and she is my foodie buddie. It would be fun to explore new restaurants with her, but I'd rather eat my dessert alone! (j/k)
Jeff's blog is also about food. He is a freelance journalist of Toronto.com and had many chances to taste various kinds of food from different countries. Don't know where to spend your money tonight? I think he can help!
Apparently, Ana has spent a lot of time and effort writing her blog about the Television industry. If it's your piece of cake then go for it!
Emir loves photography and I am fond of his pictures. Looking for a different Toronto from a foreigner's perspective? I think this blog will captivate you.
My healthy friend Aakash will give you an interesting insight about the Dairy industry, which I absolutely have no clue. Of course, it will not be just about dairy, so stay tuned!
Any suggestions or comments? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Have you heard about a restaurant that is staffed entirely with Deaf servers? Probably not!
I had my coop job as a Marketing Intern at Signs Restaurant - the first restaurant in Canada that is staffed with deaf servers. The restaurant has a unique dining concept where customers can order the food using American Sign Language (ASL). The menu is designed with illustrations of all food items in ASL. SIGNS also provides one cheat book with common phrases that are used in restaurant to ensure effective communication between customers and SIGNS Deaf Staff.
My task was working closely with the designer and SIGNS Deaf Staff to design one of a kind menu with illustrations, making sure all corporation's requirements were met. I was also in charge of all SIGNS' digital marketing activities and social media marketing. My favorite part of the job was B2B marketing, reaching out to banks and corporations to introduce a team building program which I built in such a way that all games encourage participants to learn and use ASL.
I had a lot of fun and definitely learned so much during my coop term. I brought my friends to SIGNS on my birthday and had a fantastic dinner. The Deaf staff sang "Happy Birthday" to me in American Sign Language and it was such an eye-opening experience that I would never forget.
Want to impress your friends, why don't you try this and make them guess what the signs mean?
I bet it will be fun! Interested in learning more American Sign Language? Find out here!
Have fun signing!
